Bartender

Description:
The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional and able to work in an ever changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures for serving alcoholic drinks including state/federal regulations pertaining to the distribution of alcohol
  • Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
  • Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • Bartenders are expected to de-escalate intoxicated guest situations. If a guest becomes confrontational, belligerent, or uses extreme profanity, the bartender may contact management or security as required
  • Maintains clean and sanitary work station at all times. Ensures bar equipment is clean & well maintained

Bartender - Supervisor

Description:
The Bartender Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the serving of guests in the venue dining areas and catering functions. This position will assist the Food and Beverage Manager and Director with projects including training, inventory and special events. The Bartender Supervisor will roatate evening shifts and oversee closing of venue dining areas.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for overseeing the serving of meals to guests or directing guests to the buffet line
  • Responsible for supervising the service of beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages. Must check guest’s ID to verify minimum age requirement for the purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • Responsible for assisting in recording a guest’s order and relaying the order to the kitchen via P.O.S. system
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed
  • Responsible for computing the cost of the meal and presenting the guest with the check. Accept payments and provide change as necessary
  • Responsible for ensuring tableware and linens replaced as necessary
  • Assist other department personnel as needed

Cashier

Description:
The Cashier utilizes a POS and accepts payment.  Prepares and serves concession items to guests.  Prepares and pours beverages and serves them to guests.  Ensures quality of food presentation. Must be able to maintain excellent attendance in accordance with the attendance policy. Must be able to keep concessions clean and in compliance.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Conduct the POS by entering the orders and completing the transaction.
  • Responsible for maintaining stock and supply levels, and communicating to the Concessions Stand Manger of low stock items
  • Listening and responding to customer requests or concerns
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work space including but not limited to disposal of garbage & cleaning dishes
  • Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Assist other department personnel as needed

Custodial

Description:
The Custodions are responsible for the overall cleanliness of the building and grounds.  This includes, but not limited to, cleaning of public spaces, offices, locker rooms, restrooms, exterior grounds, etc.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Confer with Operations Manager/Supervisor on Duty to receive assignments
  • Manage routine checklist with dusting, sweeping, mopping, etc.
  • Operate an assortment of equipment including buffers, scrubbers, etc.
  • Work with basic cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Assist other department personnel as needed

Dishwasher

Description:
The Dishwasher washes and sanitizes all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment and small wares. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Ensures highest sanitation levels for all items used so they may be used again, free of any contamination risk
  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machines, washing specific items by hand if needed
  • Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment properly

Full-Time Opportunities

Executive Chef

Description:
The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing the direction of the kitchen’s daily activities in accordance with OVG policies and objectives to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability, and a positive, productive and compliant work environment. 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Responsible for managing, developing and mentoring staff of full-time and part time culinary employees, including initiating employment actions such as hiring, firing, and disciplining
  • Oversight of all back-of-house catering events as well as planning and execution of all catering within the ice center and music park; including catering for the St. Louis Blues and Lindenwood University
  • Responsible for ensuring that budgeted food percentages are achieved through effective control measures including portion controls, kitchen timings, food inventory rotation measures, receiving and food storage procedures, inventory controls, effective purchasing procedures, kitchen security procedures and waste control
  • Ensures that the purchasing and preparation of all food products meet OVG’s standards of quality and consistency.  Responsible for the development of menus, ensuring quality, consistency and style of concept are maintained.  Monitors production of food preparation ensuring recipe specifications, portion controls and kitchen timings are met.  Monitors all food served relative to appearance, temperature, sanitary and quality standards
  • Ensures compliance with health, sanitation, safety and employment regulations by clearly communicating and reinforcing standards and procedures to kitchen staff

Director of Finance

Description:
The Director of Finance plans and directs all aspects of financial, accounting, purchasing, and internal control functions for the venues by performing the following duties, personally or through subordinate supervisors. The Director of Finance directly supervises the Finance Department carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with OVG’s policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Assists in the development and implementation of facility goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal law, and policies and procedures.
  • Prepares financial statements for the Client and Corporate, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, Annual Budget and Annual Report.
  • Prepare appropriate state and local tax returns to be filed timely
  • Hire, train and develop all Finance employees.  
  • Monitors compliance with all provisions of the management contract.
  • Maintains contact with Risk Management Department and Insurance broker for coordination of appropriate coverage.
  • Assist other team members as needed
