Public Skate sessions at Centene Community Ice Center are offered almost daily year-round (depending on the ice schedule) and provide skaters of all ages and skill levels a chance to get on the ice. Scroll down to see a current calendar of upcoming Public Skate sessions and FAQs.

Public Skate FAQs

How do I pre-register for a Public Skate online?

  1. Check above calendar and make sure your date is avaialble.
  2. Click link below to register online.
  3. Give your name to the front desk for check in upon arrival.
  4. Be sure and complete and sign a waiver (online or at the front desk).

Do I have to pre-register?

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required for Public Skate sessions. The advantage to pre-registering is should a session become full, you will have priority over walk-up guests to get on the ice quicker.

Is there a waiver?

Yes, all guests must sign a waiver prior to stepping on the ice.

Can I bring a large group to a Public Skate?

Of course! Groups of 10 or more can even receive a discount. Find out more on Group Outings at the rink by clicking here.

Do you offer birthday parties at the rink?

Absolutely, we love birthdays at the rink! We offer a few party packages that include Public Skate admission plus skate rentals, food and drink, and a private party room. Click here for more details on hosting a birthday with us.

Can my organization use a Public Skate as a fundraiser?

Yes! We're happy to work with local organziations to create an out-of-the-box fundraising opportunity through a Public Skate, click here to learn more.

Can I practice my figure skating routine during Public Skate?

For the safety of other skaters on the rink during a Public Skate session, no figure skating routines or practice is permitted. Please check out one of our Freestyle sessions which are designed for figure skaters to have ice time to do just this.

What is a Punch Pass?

A Punch Pass provides 10 admissions into a Public Skate session at a discounted cost. These are great for skaters who regularly attend Public Skate sessions! Punch Passes are only available for purchase in-person at the front desk of Centene Community Ice Center.
